At a moral crossroads, Jace is forced to hand over something valuable to Dr. Campbell. The team at Mutant HQ is divided on what they should do next, so Reed and Caitlin take matters into their own hands.  (From Trakt.)

High Point:

The show has done a good job of making it very real whenever handgun shots are fired.

Low Point:

Can we get a storyline that doesn’t involve a prison break?

The Scores:

Originality: 2/6 False motives and prison breaks are not original.

Effects: 6/6 They went further than the simple “Glowy/Low Res”, and used some simple things to look very impressive.

Acting: 6/6 Coby Bell started out as a weak link on this show, but he seems to have found his character and is surprisingly compelling.  Everyone else was completely convincing, even when they have conflicting emotions.

Production: 5/6 The show is a bit darker (in filming) than needed, but they don’t seem to be missing any pieces.

Story: 6/6  Esme’s motives are being slowly revealed, and I am not sure we have hit the end of that reveal.

Emotional Response: 5/6 They weren’t trying for a tear jerker, but they did make you feel the conflict on both sides.

Overall: 6/6

In total, “eXploited” receives 36/42
