Lucifer – S03E12 – All About Her – After Lt. Pierce’s true identity is revealed, Lucifer tries to figure out his motives. In order to earn Chloe’s assistance in his investigation of Pierce, Lucifer goes above and beyond to help her solve the murder of a professional surfer. Meanwhile, Amenadiel deals with a personal health issue.

Supergirl – S03E11 – Fort Rozz – As Reign continues to terrorize the city, Supergirl teams up with Saturn Girl, and the two recruit Supergirl’s former enemies, Livewire and Psi, to form a team for a mission to Fort Rozz to recover a prisoner who has information on how to defeat Reign once and for all. Meanwhile, Alex babysits Ruby.

The Flash – S04E11 – The Elongated Knight Rises – Barry is occupied with his trial when a familiar villain returns to terrorize Central City, leaving Ralph to strive to defend the innocent. Can Barry keep his optimism alive in his new circumstances?

Black Lightning – S01E02 – LaWanda: The Book of Hope – As the community struggles with the violence surrounding them, a glimmer of hope appears: Is Black Lightning back? Lynn Stewart, noticing the changes in the community, is also left wondering. While Jefferson Pierce struggles with his decision, Gambi urges him to take up the mantle once more and return to life as Black Lightning. Anissa and Jennifer try to deal with the aftermath of their jolting experience.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – S03E10 – Daddy Darhkest – This is due February 12th.

Arrow – S06E11 – We Fall – Cayden James ups the ante by launching his plan to take control of every aspect of the city. Despite the scope of Cayden’s plan, Oliver is determined to foil it with just the Original Team Arrow – and without the aid of Rene, Dinah, or Curtis. But things get complicated when William is endangered as a result of Cayden’s handiwork.

  1. Watched both Lucifer and Supergirl, and both seemed to be the opposite of captivating, as I think I only half watched them.

Can someone who paid closer attention tell me if I have this right or if I missed something:
Supergirl brought back two villains, and decided that they were the best people to ask for help when Supergirl was going to be depowered, and then proceeded to send Psi with a headgear to prevent her from using the reason they sent her, but it is so insecure that it can be removed by her falling down.

    • The headgear came with a lock that presumably keeps it on. The times when she isn’t wearing it, it was actually taken off using the key. They made a point of passing the key around and using it to remove the headgear.

  2. I’m used to ignoring the “science” in the DC-verse, but this week’s Supergirl went out of its way to be silly in this regards. Blue Sun Radiation (!!!!) is deadly to males, and somehow immediately depowers Kryptonians, no matter how much Yellow Sun Radiation they’ve stored up? Got it.

    • Why?

I mean, I can post this later in the week, but I usually watch one or two of the earlier shows and want to vent/applaud about something silly so I try to get the Discussion post up in time to allow for that. Then, later, after getting all the way through Arrow, I revisit and add to it.

I can always wait to post this until after Arrow has aired, but by then I am well past what I wanted to say about Lucifer or Supergirl. What was your motivation for wanting it later?

      • First, because you include spoilers for Arrow in the synopsis (;

And I think it’s more efficient to talk about all the shows in one go rather than coming back to the post to comment on a show in 4 days.

        • Maybe a post at the start of the week, but with the yet-to-air episode synopsis spoilered would satisfy both requirements? I suppose someone could also edit the post after the shows have all aired to remove the tags and the potential wall of blacked out text as well.

            • “William is endangered” isn’t a spoiler?

I understand that the episode description is available in lots of places, and maybe that was spoiled in a “next time on Arrow” scene; but some people don’t pay attention to those things. I would say anything that reveals information about the plot of the show before it’s released is a spoiler.

Now then, that said… I’m fine with early posting this thread. I decide whether I’m going to read based on if I care about spoilers or not. I would be fine with spoiler tagging the descriptions, though.

              • That doesn’t seem to be much of a spoiler, any more than “Oliver shoots arrows” would be. It gives some information, but not enough to reveal the story, or to spoil the plot, just enough to entice a viewing.

                • So how ’bout that Flash, huh?

Barry, in prison, shows why most of the villains he’s faced should have been caught ten minutes into the episode.

Cisco and Killer Frost get caught in a weak trap set by two non-metahumans they could literally have subdued anyway, just so we can see Ralph emerge as a hero.

Ah, well. Hartley Sawyer is fun. Pity about the mask. I always liked the fact that Elongated Man didn’t care that everyone knew who he was.

            • > The episode description is a spoiler?

              YES.

Some of us really, really hate spoilers and want to go into the show/movie/whatever as blind as possible. No previews, no synopses, no “Next Week On Arrow”, hell, the “Previously on Arrow” is usually spoilery enough to skip! When the Previously On shows them confronting Huntress, it’s not really going to be a surprise when she shows up in the episode.

  3. The Flash didn’t leave me with any thoughts to share, it was typical Flash.

Black Lightning is good. I am impressed with the quality of the show, and I think it might be the best of the entire DC line-up that I’ve seen.

  4. So, going back to Arrow now…

Black Canary stopping the train was incredibly badass.

Felicity and whatever the kid’s name watching the fight was also very well done.
