The Dwindling Chapters leave us with two specials for Lucifer, (which is still canceled as far as I can find). Otherwise, Supergirl is surprised to see that Krypton was renewed. On the other side of the aisle, Legion… He’s still beautiful and crazy.

Lucifer – S00E04 – Boo Normal – (Special) – Lucifer and the team investigate the murder of a child psychiatrist, while Ella thinks about a big childhood secret that she’s been hiding.
Lucifer – S00E05 – Once Upon A Time – (Special) – Lucifer’s mom creates an alternate dimension in which Lucifer now lives in a world where he not only has never met Chloe, but is granted the freedom of choice.
Supergirl – S03E20 – Dark Side of the Moon – Supergirl is stunned to discover that a part of Krypton survived. Meanwhile, Alex is attacked while out with Ruby, and Lena considers how far she will go to keep Reign contained.
Legion – S02E09 – Chapter 17 – Inner demons take control.
I think I am going to have to drop the DC thing once their other shows are outnumbered next week. That said, I haven’t been able to come up with a way to make a pun on Marvel’s name. Once you say you’re marveling at it or that it is marvelous, you are pretty much tapped out. I toyed with the idea of saying it was Making Certain Underdogs wrap up for the year, but Legion and Big Hero Six are both outside the MCU, and that doesn’t work until Luke Cage comes out.
Missed it last week, but damn the finale of Arrow was really bad. I guess the writers for Arrow are looking to change the name of the show to Diaz since they’re way more interested in his character or anyone on Team Arrow.
At least the Flash finally won in the last episode of the season.
I will have very little interest in watching another season of “the heroes lose in almost every episode as the villain miraculously escapes…”
I was far more interested in the Alex plot than the rest of the stuff on Supergirl. That plot had something going on. Supergirl was just obtaining what I assume is the final plot coupon of the season and setting the stage for us to do a double facepalm for that reveal right at the end. And the whole “is Lena going to go evil because she feels betrayed?” plot is getting boring.
Those two Lucifer episodes were kind of fun. I would really love to see where they would have fallen in sequence for another season. Here’s hoping it somehow gets uncancelled so we can find out.
I enjoyed them as well. As I noted when the cancellation broke, the show really seemed to have found the mark over the least season or so, making the news all that more bitter.
As for the timeline, my feeling was they should clearly have gone in near the back end of Season 3, but with the ending would have needed to slot in at least a couple of epsodes into Season 4 in order to deal with that. The first, Lopez-centric, episode was clearly setting up Season 4 with the intro of a new character, and if push comes to shove then I guess the second would kind of serve as a conclusion of sorts – even with the S3 cliff-hanger, some things are just meant to be…
The new character was great! I really wanted to see more of that.
Also, I heard the voice for Once Upon a Time, and though I didn’t recognize it, just because I am used to these things in our genre, I figured it would be someone. The producer of the show, the director, that sort of thing.
They one-upped my expectations perfectly. (In case you didn’t look it up.)
