Comments Anime series based on a visual novel. Apparently the first installment in the series that isn’t smut.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m going with Star Wars: Rebels Season 4 as my pick of the week, with Yamato 2199 Part One coming in as a close second.” Blaine says, “none of the titles I’ve already seen are particularly appealing, but Star Wars: Rebels is on my must-see list.”

  1. I am so looking forward to finishing Rebels. Clone Wars and Rebels has the best SW writing I’ve seen on screen. I’m pumped to see more Thrawn after reading the Zahn book.

    • I keep hearing good things about Rebels and Clone Wars, but never sat down to watch them. How do they rank in Star Wars quality? Better than the prequels, not as good as the original trilogy, about a Solo?

I read Marvel’s Thrawn series recently, it was interesting, but I am pretty sure it was just designed as something to supplement the books, but I haven’t read the books.

      • The Clone Wars once made me fist pump and cheer, completely non-ironically, because Jar Jar showed up. I’d have stood up, too, if I wasn’t watching on the treadmill already. That is far from the greatest achievement of the series, but is probably its most telling achievement.

I haven’t started Rebels yet, but the Blu-Ray collections have been piling up based on the strength of the Clone Wars.
