Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Made in Abyss is probably one of the best anime of this past year, and is definitely worth checking out.” Blaine says, “while I enjoyed Get Shorty and Seinfeld, neither of these rereleases are particularly gripping. Save up for later releases.”

  1. Man I miss the days when I made enough money to go “Oh sure I’ll drop $20 on a Blu-Ray of I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle!” or any old crappy movie.

Nowadays I can’t imagine what kind of person would do that. Even though I was that person.

    • I suspect the modern equivalent would be seeing a title and cover on some service and deciding to watch it anyways. (That’s how I ended up watching “Tamara”, which is my wife’s first name.) I don’t think people expect to pay per item for new media anymore, at least not with money, instead with time.

  2. Sorry To Bother You looks crazy weird. I’ll probably end up watching it. Incredibles 2 was a blast to watch with the family. And I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews for Blackkklansman.
