Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars are two shows I really liked a lot – and would definitely be interested in picking up – even more so considering the third season (an OVA) had never previously received a US release.” Blaine says, “my favourite classic Doctor gets a Blu-Ray set including the excellent Earth Shock. Easy to recommend on its own, and if this succeeds, we can see season two with The Five Doctors on Blu-Ray.”
Atomic Cafe is intriguing, at least to someone like me who enjoys watching old-time propaganda.
Has anyone watched The Puppet Masters, which is apparently based on the Heinlein book?
Saw the Atomic Cafe back in the day and liked it. Colette is on my to-see list. I only saw a couple of Peter Davidson era Who eps. I stopped watching the show then, and have no real feel for that era.
Looking forward to watching Season 2 of Westworld.
Season 2 of Handmaid’s Tale was excellent as it gave a wider view of Gilead and what’s going on in Canada. Plus that ending scene was just heartbreaking.
Absolutely. I was heartbroken that a quality show like this one would stoop to a cheap, unbelievable, gimmicky ending just to set up Season Three.
(I know, I know. That final episode was read very differently by different viewers, and it’s only a TV show)
