First story’s are wrapping up in preparation for next week’s crossover in the DCETVU1, and at least for the two first two shows, we get a bonus scene apparently set in the Flash of the past. Supergirl has Manchester Black meet his nemesis. Arrow shows us how Oliver readjusts to his new, post-incarceration status quo. The Legends gives us Constantine’s backstory and some interpersonal drama. The Flash, the current one, goes back to the past, but not the 90s past. Black Lightning and the Lightning family discover the Lightning Teen’s disappearance. Titans revisit the Hawk and Dove back when they weren’t heroes. In the mutant corner of Marvel’s television promises some major shake-ups. In the dark television version of Riverdale, we get a man dressing to match their tone.

Supergirl – S04E08 – Bunker Hill – Nia has a powerful dream about Agent Liberty but refuses to look at it as a prophetic dream, Kara and Brainy try to persuade Nia to embrace her destiny, and Manchester Black pays Ben Lockwood a menacing visit.
Arrow – S07E0 – Unmasked – Felicity stands by her recent decisions regarding her family; Diggle and Lyla continue to look into the Dante painting that Curtis found.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – S04E07 – Hell No, Dolly! – With Rory and Ava at odds, Sara tries to come up with a way for them to get along, but all is put on hold when a new magical creature attacks the Legends. Constantine is forced to confront his tragic past but it could have devastating consequences for the rest of the team. Meanwhile, Mona has a crush on someone she works with and gets some advice from Nate.
The Flash – S05E08 – What’s Past Is Prologue – Barry and Team Flash come up with a plan to stop Cicada. However, the plan calls for Barry and Nora to travel back in time to gather some key necessities. However, Barry hesitates, concerned about his daughter seeing certain parts of his life. Meanwhile, Sherloque takes his concerns about Nora to Iris, and Caitlin turns up a key asset in the fight against Cicada.
Black Lightning – S02E08 – The Book of Rebellion: Chapter One – Jennifer’s disappearance roils the Pierce family. The family discusses the best way to find her. Lynn asks Detective Henderson to arrest Khalil after she learns Jennifer is with him. (From IMDB)
Titans – S01E09 – Hank and Dawn – The origin story of Hank Hall and Dawn Granger’s relationship and the loss in each of their pasts that brings them together as vigilante Super Heroes Hawk and Dove.
The Gifted – S02E09 – gaMe changer – Tensions within the Inner Circle are at an all-time high, as Andy comes to Rebecca’s defense against Reeva. After making an important discovery about Dr. Risman’s research, Lauren convinces Reed and Caitlin that they must take action to destroy it. Frustrated with not being taken seriously, Jace begins to strategize with the Purifiers. Meanwhile, the Mutant Underground continues to work on saving mutants. However, tensions flare between Blink and Thunderbird as they confront their differences. (Review coming soon!)
Riverdale – S03E07 – Chapter Forty-Two: The Man in Black – Fearful that he will be caught, Archie hits the road and ends up at a farm outside Riverdale, where he meets Laurie Lake. Meanwhile, after Alice takes extreme measures to ensure Betty’s safety from the Gargoyle King, Betty finds herself up against a formidable foe from her past. Finally, after learning that La Bonne Nuit is in trouble, Veronica makes a risky business decision that could cost her everything.

Earth-90… As in 1990’s Flash show. I remember it being on (I was 12 at the time) but I don’t think I saw a lot of it. I did notice that The Flash is clearly wearing the 90s Flash costume. If anyone is familiar with the DCU’s history with that guy or the book, I’d love to know what I was watching.
Not only is he wearing the ’90s costume, it’s the same actor (who normally plays Barry’s father on the show).
I do remember watching it and enjoying it.
Gifted has at least managed to move the action forward. But I remember asking during the episode, “Wait, what are the teams again?” I did wonder about the wisdom of having those control collars centrally controlled. I mean, nothing can go wrong with that, can it? But, then, I realized that that is probably exactly the sort of thing that would happen in real life. I mean, it’s not like there’s a precedent for dumb choices made by public officials or anything.
Also, am I the only one who thinks, based on the dialogue so far, that the solution to Reed’s problem is to send him out in the middle of nowhere so he can “explode” (and, thus, burn off the accumulated bottled up energy) and then, without having the accumulated overload, be able to control it?
Supergirl is starting to annoy me. And it’s ok — the things that are annoying me are supposed to annoy me. But, you know. Ugh. There’s enough of this crap in real life.
Arrow… what happened on Arrow? Oh yeah, yet another secret family member and of friggin course Diaz (?) isn’t dead. However — good action and a pretty good episode, really.
Legends of Tomorrow is still great. They’ve found their voice, and the perfect balance of not taking themselves too seriously while taking themselves seriously.
Flash… ugh. Guys, don’t spend the first two acts of the episode setting up an elaborate plan only to have it fail *miserably* because two friggin speedsters decided to just stand there and not do anything. Also, Cisco? Why not portal the thing near the sun? Also, if it was anywhere in “space”, it would have either took much, much longer to get back, or been going so fast that it would have disintegrated when it hit the atmosphere. Also, Killer Frost? You know how you just knocked the bad guy back a bit? Yeah, better just stop there and let him go.
Look, I get that you have to have the team fail in catching I’m Not Even Going To Attempt To Spell It This Early In The Morning, but does it have to be due to contrived incompetence?
Black Lightning isn’t even in the same league as the other shows. And I love it.

Ugh. Yes. “It’s working! Let’s all stand around and do freaking nothing!” Of course, that *is* actually SOP for that group so at least the writers are consistent with how they dole out the idiot balls.
And Diaz. I knew he had to show up again (no actual body shown, and even then, comic book logic) but I was *so* hoping it would take a lot longer.
Rivedale is still crazy, but they have some great beefcake shots of Archie.
Also, anyone still watching it want a map of Riverdale and these nearby sites?

It appears that, due to the date switch and a resulting conflict, our local carrier won’t have The Flash, so we’ll miss part one.

That sorta idiocy is why networks are getting cut out and studios are moving onto directly getting their product to the recipients.
True…. But, in all fairness, Part One of these crossover events is usually the least part. I’m hopeful that Batwoman and Lois Lane won’t make their entries until Part Two or Three.
However, we will be able to see it on Canadian Netflix, if we want, a day later.
