Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “the Popeye collection is very tempting, but I have to give the edge to The Apartment.” Alex says, “This release of Totoro is absolutly worth picking up – especially with the inclusion of the soundtrack.”
My kids have been clamoring to see Smallfoot, though they wandered away before finishing it.
I was a fan of The Orville. The Star Trek of it all was great, but I could have done without the Family Guy style humor. Despite that, they did a pretty decent job of tackling real issues the way early Trek did. (That said, the “frat boy jokes” we too prevalent for my wife to enjoy it.)
“Twelve Days of Christmas Eve” I don’t know what this is, but the title makes no sense. Isn’t that an oxymoron?
I want to rewatch Venom. It wasn’t the strongest Marvel offering, but it was one of the best from Sony, and it has Stan Lee’s last cameo. (I am sure the movies that are about to come out will have cameos he already had filmed, but if you think his appearance took you out of the movie before, having a random fanboy/fangirl break into ugly sobbing because a bystander in the scene says something about leaving will really ruin it for you.)
