Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Bad Times at the El Royale was a blast of a neo-noir, which utilizes it’s setting and the use of multiple plot lines incredibly well – and which also has some incredible performances.” Blaine says, “nothing in particular jumps out at me this week.”

    • I would be interested in Love, Gilda.

Bad Times at the El Royale received okay reviews. The 1995 Scarlet Letter, not so much.

Odd time to be releasing a “Spooktacular Halloween” offering.

    • I just saw Love, Gilda. It’s worth seeing, particularly if you watched Radner or recall the original Not Ready for Prime Time Players.

It’s currently on rotation on CNN, until the end of the month, when the astounding and outstanding Three Identical Strangers becomes their outside doc to showcase.
