Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning 24 February 2019

DC doesn’t believe in the fourth week of February, so they have all decided to take it off.  The Gifted could see this was coming, and Archie goes back to taking his punches.  Are these two going to carry the weight for the week, or is it an excuse to phone it in until everything returns next week?

[All synopses (and titles) from Trakt.tv or IMDB below the cut, except when there really aren’t any.  (If a show’s synopsis is a spoiler to you, do not click More…)]

  1. Regarding the Orville. I started watching it this season, and have been mildly impressed with it. It had some moments that threw me out of the show at times, but the episodes were pretty solid and I got a solid Star Trek TNG vibe while watching.

Although episode 8 changes freaking everything. Damn, that episode is the Orville’s “Best of Both Worlds” (in a good way). Wow, they just dropped the hammer with this one. Talk about hitting your stride, also about setting up for the big twist with one character for one and a half seasons!

We need reviews of The Orville here!

  2. Is the “allegedly” line in the Legends paragraph just a joke on the April 1st return date, or are there ‘legitimate’ rumors about it not coming back?

  3. Manchester Black is on Supergirl? I may have to watch again. The title of this week’s ep is, of course, the title of a fairly famous Superman story involving the Elite, one that probably should be read by anyone adapting the character to film.
