Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Captain Marvel is my pick of the week, with my recommendation that anime fans also pick up New Game Seasons 1 & 2.” Blaine says, “I also recommend Captain Marvel this week.”
I loved Captain Marvel, too.

For those who haven’t seen The Godfather, we have two great movies… and the one we don’t discuss.
Orange is the New Black works well, though it’s not the original book.
The Girl Most Likely to… isn’t in that league, but it’s a worthwhile 70s dark comedy/ curiosity.
And if you like horror, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a game-changer that, as a bonus, commits violence against the phrase, “Based on the True Story.”
I haven’t heard anything good about God’s Super Collider. However, some fans of camp actually enjoy Can’t Stop the Music, which is, after all the best film musical to star the Village People, Valerie Perrine, Steve Guttenberg, and the person then known as Bruce Jenner…. I found it a challenging experience. Consider just watching the “Milkshake” number and be done with it.
As a title, “Star Trek: The Kelvin Timeline” sounds perfectly ridiculous.
Really drives the final nail in that series of movies though, doesn’t it?
It did grow less satisfying, by degrees.
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. was actually a really, really good show.
Steven Weber and Patrick Stewart were friends rather than lovers in Jeffrey, but they were both playing gay characters. Stewart’s camp definitely nailed a certain class of gay persona ;-)
