  1. Trippy Story, Trippy Visual Style
This PKD adaptation definitly has a unique look. I trust the story/acting matches with the syle. Unless balanced, I fear it will fail as a film. The style is not what the public is used to seeing.

I’ll pay full price to see it in the theater.

      • a boring sunday morn’

        I got to see this!

        Agreed. That was pretty cool.

Hahaha, try this now: Same link, turn off the sound, have “take on me” playing over it.
        lmao

Is there anything A-ha hasn’t influenced?

Of course, if memory serves they were influenced by an early 80s scifi flick, but I can’t seem to pull out the name of it…

Seriously though, I’m loving the image-shifting stealth-suit… seems to change a bit fast, but it’s a really nice lil’ visual cyberunk touch.

  2. it does look really interesting…
it’s from the same guy that did waking life, so it uses similar techniques, however they have obviously advanced the technology a great deal. i think the artistic style may fit the scifi genre better too. i’ll have a seat in the theatre. :)

Last I heard about this there was some blurb about the animation team walking out or something and the company’s website went silent. So imagine my surprise seeing the trailer at Constantine. I’m glad they got everything worked out, the style looks amazing and Woody Harrelson is in it! woot!

  3. PKD Inspired Movies

What really stuns me is that apparently the movie script is close enough to the book that they can put “Based on a Book by Philip K. Dick”, rather than the usual “Inspired by”, “Loosely inspired by” or “Possessing the same title as”.

That bodes well for the film.

    Harry.
