    I’ve never read Dr. Strange, to me he’s mostly been a secondary character used as a device to move our better known heroes into parallel universes and the like.

    In your esteemed opinion, would you say that his magic paradigm is worthwhile of attention, or drivel like in “Charmed”?

      That depends on the incarnation. The first volume of Essential Dr. Strange was excellent, but more recent incarnations (such as the current JMS miniseries that quietly dropped from 12 issues to 6 when sales numbers came in) have left me wanting. I have rather high hopes for the second Essential, though, given the strength of the first.

        The first volume is very good, at least for ’60s standards.
