Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2019 August 18

My kids go back to school this week.  Luckily, there is very little television for them to cloud their brains with so they can learn everything that the elementary school has to offer.  Pennyworth tangles with Jack the Ripper, and Preacher works to save Cassidy in unexpected ways.  Got any binge-able shows you’re catching up on?

[All synopses (and titles) from Trakt.tv below the cut, except when there really aren’t any.  (If a show’s synopsis is a spoiler to you, do not click More…)]

Pennyworth – S01E05 – Shirley Bassey – John Ripper presents Alfred with an offer. Lord Harwood’s fate takes a curious turn.

Preacher – S04E04 – Search and Rescue – Tulip forges an unexpected alliance to save Cassidy; Jesse finds himself stranded.

Young Justice: Outsiders – S03E23 – Terminus – [No Description]

  1. I have nothing to comment on this week as I don’t watch any of those shows, but I will cross-post something (with some news) from elsewhere:

So, watching She-Ra yesterday, I am thinking to myself:
This is clearly a show for young girls. Seems great for young girls, but I am a middle aged man. I can watch anything with the girls, why She-Ra? I guess I am just that desperate for the greatness I remember He-Man was. It wasn’t, but I remember that remake was good. Am I really watching this just so I can get a bit more of that?

    Internet, the next morning:
Kevin Smith is Making a New He-Man Cartoon for Netflix
