Disney announces a full slate of Marvel TV Shows:

In addition to the previously-mentioned Vision/Scarlet Witch series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Loki shows for 2020 and 2021 (depending), Disney also plans shows for Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and the She-Hulk! In addition to these shows, which will connect with the MCU, expect new animated series, like What If…

Who should play the still-uncast roles? And what other Marvel character should get a series?

Other than Squirrel Girl. Duh.

  1. I know a few people who will lose their…

I hope they do Moon Knight as a hard Netflix level show. Personally, the guy I think would play him best was already a Marvel character: Evan Peters. If you look through his pictures, you can see him switching between different personalities pretty well.

    • It’s not like we have to watch every single show! Given what dates have been announced, however, I suspect a lot of these will run/be dropped at different times, as they did with the Netflix shows. In that case, it will be more like watching The Marvel Show that just happens to run year-round.

    • I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they learned what CBS All Access seems to have learned. People subscribed there when new episodes of Discovery came out and then dropped it again later, so now CBS seems to be launching multiple shows to have one new episode of something Star Trek every week. It wouldn’t surprise me if they had a packed launch to get people to try the service and then have a long time plan of one new MCU episode each week, or a new season per month, just to make sure people who subscribe have no reason to unsubscribe.

As you said, though, this can become like the crossovers in the 1990s, where people reached the point where they just dropped comics collecting as a hobby instead of dropping a title or two at a time.

      • I suspect this is the plan. The MCU is a cash cow, we can milk it regularly, there’s no reason to leave money on the table by letting time go by that we aren’t putting something out.
