Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “If we didn’t have a Ken Burns documentary this week, I’d probably say that nothing this week was a must get. However, while I am not a fan of Country music, I would watch a Ken Burns documentary about the phone book, so I’m definitely going to recommend his documentary on Country Music.” Blaine says, “of the titles I’ve seen, I’d go with the complete David Tennant Doctor Who collection. Of those I haven’t seen, X-Men: Dark Phoenix is interesting despite lackluster reviews, and Ken Burns documentaries have never let me down.”

  1. I’d probably say that nothing this week was a must get. However, while I am not a fan of Country music, I would watch a Ken Burns documentary about the phone book, so I’m definitely going to recommend his documentary on Country Music.

We have a few good documentaries this week, including one on Toni Morrison and
Woodstock: 3 Days That Changed Everything, which I have seen. There’s not much new in that one, but it does provide a good overview of the story, and how many times Woodstock came to not actually happening, or being an utter disaster.

  2. I watched the Ken Burns doc on Jazz and was utterly fascinated (even though I’m not a huge Jazz fan). I’m not a big Country Music person either, but it’ll be a fascinating watch, I’m sure.
