Comments Blaine: I have a DVD copy of this in a 50 movie box set I spent $10 on. I’m surprised it warrants a Blu-Ray release. Should I actually bother to watch it? Has anyone actually seen it?. Alex: Apparently this release came from the original masters, which have been cleaned up, as opposed to whatever the picture quality is in that 50 movie box set (I have a couple similar boxed sets full of kung fu movies, and they tend to have very variable picture quality.

When the subject is a science fiction icon with such a, shall we say, eclectic variety of quality in its films, you know their world famous bonus features are going to be worth checking out.”

  1. The 2011 The Thing is a prequel?

    This is where I go “How bad could it possibly be?” but luckily I’m out of town and will hopefully forget about this by the time I get back home.
