Hmm
Well, regardless of the “Which one has better plotlines” and the “Which one sold out more” or “which one’s down-hill decent was faster/more drmatic”, I’d have to take Star Trek as better Science Fiction that Star Wars. Trek (in it’s pre- Reverse-The-Polarity-On-The-Tachion-Deflector-Array-Emitter days) did have hard science at it’s core.
Re: Hmm
You don’t know the pooowwwer of Star Wars!!!
Re: Hmm
And of course….
Star Wars has ‘the force’. Star Trek has Shatners girdle and toupee. What is more powerful? Trek of course! Shatner gets way more chicks than Yoda.
Re: Hmm
Cialis:
If the force lasts more than four hours, seek help.
Re: Hmm
two things come to mind
Hey hey hey now! I knew Riker had help!
and
Don’t worry Imzadi, it’s only been 3 hours and forty-five minutes
A Sad commentary on American Culture ….
….when art is valued by gross profit returned.
All hail the Corporation !
(helpful hint: if it’s a ‘franchise’ – it ain’t art)
Re: A Sad commentary on American Culture ….
When I was 7 and first saw Star Wars, its gross profit had nothing to do with how much I liked it.
And while I feel the Dune franchise of novels to be some of the best art in sci-fi that doesn’t change the fact that my biggest soft spot in sci-fi is still for Star Wars.
