“Smallville” Preview Online

It messes with the Superman cannon pretty badly, but the acting and writing within the clip they’ve posted is good. I think I may tune in.

It’s all on the WB’s Website

  1. Lex Luthor?
Clark falls into an unstable friendship with a young well-to-do Lex Luthor. Genuine in its portrayal…

Umm.. Last I Checked, He Met Lex As Superman, And Lex Didn’t Know He Was Clark Kent At First…

but Then Again, I Read Spiderman, Not Superman, Correct Me If I’m Wrong.

Like I said, it wreaks major havoc with the Superman Cannon. Guess it’ll be a warm-up for Enterprise.

  2. Messes with which Superman canon?
The original Superman comics canon (pre-1950s), the original Superboy comics canon (early 1950s-1985), or the “Superman was never Superboy” comics canon (1985-present)? Or would you prefer to choose one of the Superman cartoon canons (at least three or four that I can think of), or one of the Superman live-action canons (three or four there as well)?

If you’re going to start with the premise of a super-powered teenage Clark Kent, then the original Superboy comics canon is prolly the best place to start, as the current Superman comics canon doesn’t have his powers emerging early enough. Given that, Lex Luthor did know Superboy (and blamed him for his hair loss), although I’m not sure if he knew Clark Kent as well.

Hair Loss. Of All The Reasons To Become An Evil Genius, Capable Of Decimating The World Over And Over, He’s Pissed Off About Hair loss. He Couldn’t Just Use His Mighty Intellect to Improve Rogain, Could He?
