Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 July 26

Another summer week, another light list.  Perry Mason actually starts being a lawyer this week.  Stargirl gets to discover more about her school’s janitor, while the Doom Patrol tackles their daddy issues.  The Agents return to the eighties after their bottle episode last week.  If that wasn’t enough Comics for you this week, Netflix has stashed something away for just such a rainy day: The Umbrella Academy drops season two on Friday!  If you were just looking for cheap laughs, Robot Chicken drops a few episodes to end their season.

[Edit to add:] Muppets Now comes out this week.  Is that the Genre enough that it should be included here for Bureau 42?  It certainly is no less so appropriate than Perry Mason, so it is included.  As always, feel free to debate and comment if something should not be added or if something good is being missed.

  1. So, we to meet Stargirl’s Dad. It really made me identify with Pat a lot more, but I feel so bad for Mike. That poor boy, through no fault of his own, is being completely neglected.

Perry Mason was very interesting. I really enjoy that the mystery always feels just out of reach, but not hidden from us. Like we can see all the dots but (at least my wife and I) can’t quite draw the lines connecting them yet. Also, my wife noticed the judge was Matt Frewer. I should have seen him episodes ago!
