Three genre films are being released today. This one
is a revival of the old sitcom, starring Nicole Kidman
and Will Farrell.

  1. Stating the Obvious?

This one is a revival of the old sitcom

I’m having difficulty with the concept that it was actually necessary to explicitly state this is a movie adaptation of the sitcom. Too many young people who didn’t grow up with the shows I watched as a kid, I guess. Sigh… I must be getting old.

Insult to injury would be a kid walking out of the movie saying “they should make that a television show!”

I still remember walking out of Wayne’s World and the kids in front of me wanting to know who sang that ‘wicked new song’ in the opening sequence (Bohemian Rahpsody)

        • BEWITCHED BLOWS!Re: Stating the Obvious?
WORST MOVIE EVER!! WORST MOVIE EVER!! HORRIBLE!! I am making it my mission this week to vent about this movie on any site I get my hands on. PLEASE DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. I am demanding my $10 back, I am so pissed. This movie completely and utterly blew. I would not wish this movie on anyone, it will bore you to death. It was painful to sit through and I contemplated leaving several times (I saw 5 separate groups of people leave!) The audience booed at the end of this movie. The producers, directors, actors are nuts for putting this garbage out. It was sooo bad, if you have not seen the movie, save yourself. It is just horrible, almost funny how bad it was. And yes, I knew the premise of the movie was NOT a re-make of the show, this movie was just so bad. I can’t say enough shit about it: bad acting, just awful, horrible jokes, script, no magic, lame plot. Oy vay, I could go on and on but alas, I am off to the next site to spread the word…save yourself and boycott this shit. If it takes me all week, I will get my money back! These people should be ashamed of themselves for putting out this garbage. They shamed the Bewitched show by using their name. JUST AWFUL!!!!!!

I didn’t feel it was necessary, particularly given the talk about cross-promotion in last week’s DVD release column, but said it because I felt I should say something specific about the movie and couldn’t really come up with anything else.

My original post was a joke. Please do not take it as a criticism, as it was not intended to be one. I just hit my 39th birthday this month and am feeling a bit un-young.
