This one’s getting universally panned. Pity, since it’s based on some classic Ray Bradbury. Anyone see it and feel like commenting?

Horrible special effects …
I saw the special effects mentioned in one of the reviews I read, and I have to concur. They are horrible, almost late 1980’s Video Toaster quality. I saw no convincing interaction between the actors and the CGI.
The plot? So-so. The writing? So-so. The acting? So-so. The resolution? So-so. This film is entirely unmemorable. I got the feeling the studio was trying very hard to do “Minority Report” on a very low budget, with low rent actors and writers.
Did I hear somewhere that this film cost over $100 million to make? Ouch. Someone somewhere padded their expense account.
If you want to see this film, wait ’til six months after it comes out on video so you can rent it from the cheap section. Besides, this movie will look better on the small screen, and I suspect that if you only drop one dollar to see it on your 25″ TV you’re more likely to feel that you got your money’s worth than if you drop eight dollars at a cinema.
Don’t run to see this movie, don’t even walk to see it. Sit down and wait for it to come to you, and make certain you have something else to do for an hour and a half (cleaning the bathroom, bathing the dog, emptying out the nasty stuff from the fridge) if it doesn’t manage to hold your attention.

Damn, this was one of the main movies I was looking forward to this year too…

If you want to see it, go and see it. :) It’s not a terrible movie, it’s just that it doesn’t rise above the level of mediocre. To let you know how I really felt about it, once I let go of all of the pseudo-science I sort of enjoyed “The Core.” Even suspending disbelief, I didn’t enjoy this movie quite as much, but your mileage may vary. :)

Now that’s a resounding recommendation ;-) The Core even looked lame. If this was worse than that…

Well, ya know … I’m trying to find something positive to say. It wasn’t as bad as “Laserblast”. :)

Now that’s a good question. I have never seen this dramatic oeuvre called Mansquito. This piece of … cinema was made for Sci Fi?!?!?! And Roger Corman didn’t have anything to do with it?!?!?! :)
I am taken aback. :)

geek porn?
Wow everyone is panning it. It’s like a train wreck, I can’t ignore it! I will be seeing it this weekend :P
Screen It Review
My main movie review site, Screen It! [subscription required], gave it a 1 out of 10. The reviewer even went so far as to say it was so bad that it didn’t fall into the category of “so bad it’s good.” I don’t think I’ve seen a 1/10 at Screen It! before.
