Another one that doesn’t make the cut
I finally watched the pilot for this one the other night too. About half to 3/4’s through, I was looking around for pods of stringy cotton. I guess they glow in this one, but that wasn’t even particularly original. Mom leaves after a fight into a hurricane? What a shocker that something happened! I managed to actually watch all of it, but it’s outta there.

Getting a little deeper, but the conspiracy is just a little too obvious for me. I did, however, like where Russell finds his ex-wife’s ring where the skeleton was. Damn creepy moment.

I was under the impression that he didn’t know whose it was? Maybe I just missed something…

They mention earlier in the ep that she lost her wedding band. Also note that the sheriff gives her a new one at the end of episode.

What is it with Invasion of the Body Snatcher that makes people think “remake!” so much?
Good Ride So Far
I caught the pilot and 2nd episode on re-run Saturday night, and so far I’m enjoying it. I’ve found the tensions of mixed families rings true, and the only actor that’s really bothering me so far is the conspiracy fanatic brother-in-law. He’s just hitting it too hard. We’ll see what next week brings.
