  1. I think horror has been a “geeky” thing all along, and most comics or Sci-fi has it’s roots there. (Though I appreciate that we can climb out from behind the sofa next week.)

I have only ever read about half a Stephen King book my wife recommended (not a horror book, oddly) and a conversation with her revealed I know less than I thought. Expect low scores. (Still, I can wait around and listen to procrastinate on going to my morning workout.)

Dorky – 7 right, 7 points – Wow, I didn’t even know enough to guess.
Geeky – 4 right, 8 points – “Wait, that was King?” One answer I got from the Ramones.
Nerdy – 1 right, 3 points – Wow, I didn’t even get the Marvel question! The one I did get right was the one my wife made me read. (But I’ve already told you folks how awesome she is.)

I am curious how I will do next week. For all my comics knowledge, I consider next week’s subject severely overrated. Not bad, just not anywhere near the hype he gets. I think he’s more of a Iron Fist or Luke Cage tier character.

    • If that non-horror King novel is the one I think it is, I just listened to the audiobook a few years ago (narrated by Bronson Pinchot). It was delightful.

  2. Round One: 9 (9)
I would’ve achieved a perfect score (I’m familiar with older King) but I called her “Tiffany.” That’s not what I meant! #@%*!

    Round Two: 6 (12)

Round Three: 1 (3) Uh…. Wow. I am not familiar with the more recent King, except for some short stories.

Also, DufRESnee? Does the novella specify that pronunciation for “Dufresne”? I read it quite some time ago. The film adaptation consistently pronounces it “Doofrain,” which is closer to its French origins.
