Listener request! And I’ve been wanting to tackle World War II trivia for some time. I know it’s a little jarring to jump from Peanuts to World War II, but we’ve got a lot of ground to cover here at DGN. So let’s dive in.
As always, it’s three rounds of ten questions each. If you need rules or scorecards, you can find them here.
I always find it weird that WWII is a genre unto itself, mostly because when I was young, there were still people who remembered being there.
Dorky – 2 right, 2 points – “I know this, it’s… uhh…” *answer* “No, I didn’t know that.” (I knew about where Sulu went, but couldn’t remember the “politically correct” name for it.)
Geeky – 4 right, 8 points – I seemed to know a lot more of these. Weird.
Nerdy – 1 right, 3 points – “Coke! No selling to our enemies!” “We’re not, _______ is!” 😒
The Coke one was something I always heard, but I was pleased when I discovered the anecdote was true.

For some reason, I thought “Allied” leader who lived the longest after the war, but I rewound and, nope, you said “leader.” Still, a reasonable score for a “history nerd.”
If you got the Allied leader, then you should get a half point. (My answer was “Probably the Japanese one.” so getting a name impresses me.
I’ll allow it. (It’s the holiday season and I’m feeling benevolent).
