Dorky Geeky Nerdy #150 | The Hobbit Trivia

All snuggled up in your Hobbit hole? Let’s get into some Hobbit Trivia for this week’s show. We covered The Lord of the Rings way, way back in Episode Four, so it’s high time we got to the original work by JRR Tolkien.

As always, it’s three rounds of ten questions each. Miss too many and there’s no second breakfast for you.

Also: 150 episodes! Seems like the episodes are just flying by.

  1. Before the Peter Jackson LOTR movies were coming out, I was working the night shift at a help desk and I thought “Well, it’s time to finally read these” and I started with the Hobbit. I only was a few pages in and realized I knew this book, and had apparently already read it. I hate rereading books (which is weird for a geek, I know) so I skipped it and read the trilogy instead. I have no idea when I read the Hobbit, but it was sometime before I was out in the world working. I watched the first movie only, and was so disappointed I didn’t watch the next two. So I strongly suspect my second breakfast is about to be cancelled.

Dorky – 4 right, 4 points – Right out of the gate, it’s movie related, dang.
Geeky – 5 right, 10 points – That song is going to be stuck in my head all day, now.
    Nerdy – 2 right, 4 points – Great questions! I didn’t know who Bilbo’s parents were, but I loved that I should/could have.

    Eh, not my worst score.
