Comments | This is a vary violent cyberpunk anime from the mid ’90s which is infamous for taking an out of the blue incredibly hard right turn into anti-semitism in the very last episode, more or less out of nowhere. So much out of nowhere that when the show was originally licensed for US distribution, it had been while the show was still coming out – leading to the distributor deciding to omit the last episode of the series once that particular twist was revealed in the last minutes of the penultimate episode – with the original dub changing the antisemetic dialog to something else. | ||||||||

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Nana has been on my to-watch list for quite some time, so I’m pleased to see the anime in print again. For people who aren’t into anime but do have the ability to play 4K disks, I’d recommend Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.” Blaine says, “nothing that I’ve seen stands out, but Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Slap Shot both have excellent reputations.”
