  1. Moon Knight:
    – It was much more British than I expected, and felt very, very Whovian to listen to.
    – Oscar Isaac can act!
    – I know the character, so I have a vague idea of what should be going on, but there is some great mystery.
    – Neat trick, being extra gory and violent, but cutting away from it to keep it rated D+.

    Superman & Lois:
    – The suits look like Sontarans.
    – I am not sure if the point of the news broadcast was to show the disservice that Clark does to the world by protecting it and thus making everyone dependent on him, but that’s what I took from it. Superman is giving the world a fish, but not teaching the world to fish.
    – Is this one of those episodes where Superman wants a vacation, so he takes a week off? The first time they did this they invented Kryptonite.
Lois takes a picture of the operation, has her phone in her hands, and is spotted. Sending the image and a location tag to just about anyone would solve this problem

    • It was indeed a strange episode of Superman and Lois, basically excluding Superman for 99% of the show. The acting was decent and they included better-than-average shots, so there is that. The interactions between the characters was quite credible, especially given that we’re watching the CW.

The absence of Superman while he is on the other side of the portal renews that other problem: how do we account, in-universe, for the lack of reference to and involvement of, say, Supergirl or the Flash?

The operation. Good lord. Never mind my earlier complaint, that a major criminal operation risks exposure by selling super-power-granting drugs for chump change to high-schoolers in one small town. I suppose that could be a way of testing.

But seriously? Haven’t they watched Breaking Bad? Why is their operation near a place of heightened law enforcement activity in plain view through the spot on the window? And Lois not only doesn’t send off the signal– she and a freakin’ General sneak up on the operation and insist on keeping the kid with superpowers safe?

        • It’s too bad, too. The focus on the super-next-gen is working, since they’re more flawed and interesting than their dad. I hope Natalie picks up her own metal suit in the near future.

  2. Looks like Young Justice released three episodes this week, e14-e16.

    Any watching Halo?
