Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 May 1

Happy Beltane or May Day to any who celebrate.  This week, the BBTT is full, but a number of season finales should even everything out next week.  The week kicks off with Riverdale plan to use the fog to overthrow the government and install their own.  Better Call Saul gives us a professional show.  Superman and Lois picks up immediately from last episode.  Naomi goes to prom.  Moon Knight gives us a season finale.  The Flash works as a team.  Star Trek ends Picard’s second season, and launches on a mission to find Strange New Worlds.  Halo gets an inheritance.  Outer Range finishes its season going into the unknown, then sails off into the west.  The Blacklist gets into cosplay.  Then we get two episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, watching Santo in the Treasure of Dracula then Robot Wars.

Naomi – S01E11 – Worst Prom Ever – Naomi and Annabelle are looking forward to a perfect prom night with Nathan, Jacob and their entire junior class…but nothing ever goes as planned when you’re a teenage superhero.

  1. The visual effects of Moon Knight’s finale were spectacular. I also realized that live action has made Moon Knight’s traditional costume look significantly better than I think the comics could ever convey. It certainly lacked the definition to depict the ‘mummy’ mask in the comics before modern times, and it’d be too much art work to do it regularly today. I also loved how Khonshu and his kin looked. (Also, called it!)

    • I was– busy with current writing and other projects. However, I could probably post a discussion with some strong thoughts. It rather resembled Trek‘s attempt to do a Marvel series, complete with mid-credit sequence– except that they inserted it into the show itself, near the end.
