  1. Pre order
I wonder how many orders they have gotten…

How many more people are going to wait and get it at Best Buy for about $15-16, and not pay shipping…

If it weren’t for the date I would… but you’re not gonna get me anywhere near Worst-Buy that close to Christmas. It’s worth the extra money.

Plus… if you get this and BG then you get free shipping anyways.

  2. Theme Song
“Take my Book, Take my Wash, kick me right square in the crotch…
    I don’t care, I’ll still see, ths movie Whedon’s made for me…”

My new fav theme song from Serenity in 2000 Words or Less. I am still really, really pissed about Serenity. I’m almost glad the numbers are such they’re not gonna be able to do Serenity II: The Decapitation of Kaylee.

As I’ve noted before, I agree Serenity is a great one-shot movie that mixes war and horror elements in a traditional Hero-Rises-To-The-Occasion-Amid-Death gritty drama. Unfortunately, I was hoping for an extension and perhaps even revival of Firefly, a great ongoing story mixing sci-fi and western elements as a non-traditional dysfunctional-family-overcoming-all-odds in a charming melodrama.

Course, I’m an married old guy and they killed off not one but both old guys and the only realistic sci-fi married couple ever with whom I identified. I feel disenfranchised from Firefly by Serenity, but maybe I’m just prejudiced.

So you don’t think that Firefly can continue without Wash and Book? I see no reason why not – the remaining characters have plenty of relationship between them, the loss of Wash and Book themselves will create a whole pile of things for Whedon to explore… I can see it going on quite well.

Unfortunately the box office returns haven’t done the film justice, so he may not get the chance.
