Yusibu: I Couldn’t Become a Hero, so I Reluctantly Decided To Get a Job
Amazon
Comments Anime series about a young man who had been selected to be sent to another world to fight a demon lord, only for the problem to be resolved, the demon lord defeated, and the young future “hero” sent back to our world with absolutely no workplace skills, forcing him to get a part time job.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “On the 4K standpoint, outside of The Batman, I’m leaning towards Lifeforce, as an older science fiction film that would hold up with the practical effects in 4K. Otherwise I’m tempted to pick up Studio 666 out of curiosity.” Blaine says, “nothing I’ve seen jumps out at me, but The Batman is very near the top of the ‘to watch’ list.”

One reply

  1. Definitely have The Batman on to watch list. I might re-watch Trekkies just to see how it has aged (geek culture is no longer something to be ashamed of anymore). If memory serves, it did a pretty good job of chronicling the beginnings of the Sci-Fi convention.

The Benedict Arnold thing is disgusting but expected. Right-wingers have been trying to re-cast awful people of the past as heroes (Reagan, Bush x2, Jackson, etc.).
