Dorky Geeky Nerdy #182 | Connecticut Trivia

Another trip to New England. This time, to the southernmost part of the region with Connecticut Trivia. Thirty questions about the state’s history, geography, and some of the famous people from Connecticut. How are you enjoying our ride through the fifty US States? We’re almost half-way done with the season and I’d love to hear your feedback.

  1. I went to Connecticut one or twice while dating a girl from there. They drive like New Englanders.

Dorky – 4 right, 4 points – If you hadn’t said Orville I’d have missed that one.
    Geeky – 5 Right, 10 points
    Nerdy – 0 right, 0 points – Easy Math

I am pretty sure I told this story here before, I have certainly said it a lot, but the amount of Dunkin Donuts in Connecticut is the amount that they joke about for Starbucks in the rest of the county. Said ex-girlfriend and her mother were discussing the location of someplace we were headed, and I jokingly said ‘Yeah, right next to the Dunkin Donuts.’ Neither of them caught that I had no clue where anything was and took me serious, ‘No, not next door, it’s about a block away,’ ‘No, Mom, there’s that one on the corner, but it’s not next door, you’re thinking of the older one.’

    • I did have a Dunkin’ question in the Massachusetts episode. I’m guessing most of New England “runs on Dunkin'”
