Don’t Tell Her It’s Me aka The Boyfriend School

Comments Blaine: Movies with two titles are often flops released twice hoping to slip under the radar and resell to the same people. How that happens in a movie with Shelley Long, Steven Guttenberg, and Kyle MacLachlan that was released in 1990 is a surprise to me. Regardless of quality, those names would sell tickets at that time.

What’s Eating Gilbert Grape

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m deeply curious to see how well Johnny Mnemonic does or does not work in black & white (and also which cut they’re using for this release). Otherwise, I’m going with Heavy Metal in 4K if you have the way to play 4K disks.” Blaine says, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the best of the titles I’ve seen, but My Own Private Idaho, Videodrome, and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape are all on my ‘must see’ list.”

One reply

  1. I kind of want to see Indy in 4K, but I already own them on DVD. I just can’t justify rebuying movies I have every few years for higher quality.

I guess that’s what streaming services are banking on, huh?
