Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Mamoru Hosoda’s work is gorgeous across the board, so Belle is definitely worth picking up if you’re an anime or animation fan with a way to play 4K disks. Otherwise, my 4K pick for the week is Miami Connection, a film that is dangerously cheesy, but made with a tremendous amount of heart. Outside of the 4K picks, I’m going with the Detective Conan & Lupin the Third movie on the anime side, and the Running Out of Time collection on the live-action side.” Blaine says, “I think the only releases from this week that I’ve even seen are Cat People (1982) and Bionic Woman (1976), and neither is a particularly strong recommendation (although neither are terrible, either).”
Ghosts has been on our to-watch list for a bit. Looks kooky and funny. We might dive into that this Autumn.
We’re also historical fiction fiends, so 1883 will probably get a watch at some point.
