  1. They can’t ruin the original….fortunately.
To be honest, I had figured it was going to be some sort of reality show, where nobody knew who the “warders” and the “prisoners” were. And “take some liberties” means it will have almost nothing to do with the original. I was hoping for something like “Return of the King”, the story that a Prisoner fan (named “Dutton”) wrote back in the early 90’s.

Oh well. There are discussions galore on Slashdot, FWIW.

  2. mixed about this…
it might be interesting to see a different interpretation or whatever but i dunno. if done well it could be good i suppose. makes me wonder if they decided to do this because of lost being such an unexpected hit.

btw, if you have no idea what the prisoner was about check this site out.

Based off ALL the Sci-Fi shows on the air this fall (Night Stalker, Invasion, Supernatural, Threshold, etc, etc, etc), YES. I hadn’t thought of that, but that’s why. And to be honest, it’s the closest, plot-wise, to Lost that I can think of…. all the others were made because Lost was a hit, but they’re all X-Files knockoffs.
