Al Lewis Dead

Actor Al Lewis, best remembered as Grandpa on The Munsters, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at the age of 82 (or possibly 95– see the comment below). A former vaudeville performer and baseball player, Lewis had a diverse acting career. He went on to open a successful restaurant and made unsuccessful forays into politics, running for governor of New York on the Green Party ticket.

    According to IMDB he was born in 1910 which would indeed make him 95, yet the mainstream media including the BBC and CNN are going with him being 82. CNN explains: "The actor was widely reported to have been born in 1910, but his son Ted Lewis said Saturday that his father was born in 1923".

      I read about it in a Canadian source which went with "95," but I have altered my original post. Thanks for the information.
