But the aren’t too bad IMHO. I read it and was reassured for the future of the story, it cemented the fact that the ending of 2×20 wasn’t a vision X-) and made me think they were a lot less crazy and likely to screw it up. I’m pretty stoked.

Ditto, I was actually rather comforted in the knowledge that the New Caprica arc will not probably take more than five eps or so before the people are back on the run.

The Cylon-only arc … Someone over on the finale discussion mentioned the possibility of a Cylon civil war. Sounds like that may be a distinct possibility. HURRY UP OCTOBER!

The more I watch this finale, the more I think about what the writers have done, the more I think this move is brilliant. :)

Yeah, I think they’re on a roll here. Ron had mentioned earlier that there would be no view of the Cylon homeworld, and I was kind of bummed. But now he throws it out on the table. I’m very anxious to see that. In fact I thought (even though I was 9 at the time) that the Cylon homeworld was missing from the original.

I really feel that seeing the Cylons viewpoint and more direct action by them, instead of the insinuations of the Six in Baltar’s head, is a great thing for the show.

October is too far away, but at least I can watch season one of Dr. Who again, and without bittorrent even! That’ll help a little bit.

    I knew I should’ve watched episode 20 before clicking that link :(

I have a vague recollection that the original series may have had a brief moment on the Cylon homeworld with the Imperious Leader, but it was an interior shot and indistinguishable from the basestar shots. I could be misremembering; I didn’t much like the original show.

Of course, concepts for the Cylon homeworld appear in an earlier attempt to revive the show.

Le Holy Crap, signor. That’s a pretty darn good story, and makes me wonder how much parallel’s what’s going on in the current timeline? Wow.

Wow, there are so many parallels to the current BSG story, it would be hard to believe RDM didn’t use this as source material.

Also, it’s more-or-less impossible that they would have been unaware of this proposed project.
