ST: Enterprise Pilot: The Script (maybe)

Take it with a fifty-pound bag of salt, as always, but Coming Attractions linked to something they claim is the script to “Broken Bow,” the pilot of “Star Trek: Enterprise”. It’s also mirrored here in our downloadables section. You have to provide your own line-wrapping, though…

  1. Not bad….
…I’ll take it. Plenty of room to build on this in some nice directions. Though I think they need to get some better linquistic double-speak. And 80 hours to Kronos? Seems too few.

Neat idea for the bad guys. If they’re smart they’ll leave that plot line alone for a while, let things have a nice long story arc.

If they make this look pretty, I’ll be rather happy. It could have been much, much worse. Then again, I’m in a generous mood, maybe I’ll reconsider later. And wouldn’t it just suck if the real thing is totally different and sucks a lot more. How often does that kind of thing happen, a leak that is even better than the real thing?

  2. When does this start airing?
I just KNOW I’ll miss the Big Announcement, since I don’t really watch anything on UPN… do we know what date this show starts airing on?

    • Re: When does this start airing?

From the TV ads I’ve seen recently, the official date is September 26. I remember this mainly because it’s my birthday! Hopefully they won’t change the date (and hopefully it won’t suck).

BTW, one thing I noticed is that the ads avoid showing an external view of the actual ship. Hoping against hope: maybe they are going to change the look to something more appropriate? Those leaked photos were really disappointing to me, the exact opposite of the direction they should have gone with the ship’s design.

Did they change something? The last tv ad i saw was big bold letters saying 10.01.01. or maybe it was 10.10.01. but it was all 1’s and 0’s, definitely no 26’s.

UPN moved most of their premieres up a
          week from the original schedule.

          • UPN
Speaking of UPN, did anyone else’s local affiliates start showing local news at 10, hence not showing Voyager anymore? I guess they’re trying to compete with Fox’s 10pm news. I read the news all damn day online, i don’t want to watch some local stations hyped up misinformed version of news at night.

Actually, that’s the start date of the TNG reruns on TNN. Enterprise starts on Sept 26 on UPN.

  3. Finally read it
Well, I finally read it. It’s actually pretty good, but
I’ll reserve judgement on the series until I see it.
After all, Voyager did have the best pilot of any Star
Trek series (in my opinion). This one could be better, if
the directors, actors, and other crew know what they’re
doing and treat the material with respect.

  4. real script
I have read the script and watched all of the trailers from upn.com. every scene that was in the trailers i read about in the script, so it’s a safe bet that this is the real deal.

Probably. I’ve said that about movie scripts to match
the trailers, too, only to learn that the person who faked
the script was familiar enough with the trailers that they
worked all of those scenes into the script. It was really
funky to compare the fake to the real deal. (This
particular fake was for ST: Generations, and was posted on
a BBS run by a High School friend. It’s not on the usual
      online script sites.)
