If you read comics (and if you’re here, that’s quite possible), you’ve probably wondered about actually being a superhero. So, of course, someone went and turned it into a reality TV series. Granted, with these folks, I think “reality” might be a bit strong word, but anyway…

I broke down and watched it. I found it to be funny as heck. Just barely funny enough to offset my mortal embarassment at watching a reality television show. In fact, I am pretty sure I found it much more funny than the people who made it intended to be. Stupid funny is the term I think.
Reality TV
Somebody help me figure this out:
Nobody does this stuff "in Real Life", nor do they get a group of friends together and strand themselves on an island, nor do they REALLY do anything that is on these so-called reality shows. So my questions is, "Why are the netowrks calling GAME SHOWS something new these days"?
Game shows have been around for decades. Heck, Bob Barker has been around on TPIR for decades himself. Why do people need to call them something else all of the sudden?

I think it’s the fact that "reality" shows are supposed to be a bit more immersive for the participants. Last time I checked, a taping of "Press Your Luck" didn’t take six weeks.

Usually when I ask that question to somebody they just look at me like I gave them some hidden jem of enlightenment and say "Yeah, you’re right…"
