  1. Hunter-Killer and ION
Hunter Killer #6 is on the list for this week as well, which has to be one of the slowest comics in existance – but worth the wait every time. :)

How is ION? I’ve been looking for it at my local comic shops, but they all seem sold out. This is either a good sign, or a bad one. Before I went scouring the Internet I figured I would ask here…

It’s not bad, but it’s mired in continuity. I’ve read about 70 issues of Green Lantern, including Emerald Dawn, Emerald Twilight, A New Dawn, Ganthet’s Tale, Rebirth, The Power of Ion and others, and I still don’t know what the heck is going on. Of course, since issue four promised answers in issue 5, it’s possible that I’m not supposed to know what’s going on yet. Still, it really feels like the Infinite Crisis GL cross-overs are required reading to make sense of this. My advice right now is to hold off on starting the collection now, and decide if you pick up the TPB/HC collection when the reviews of the complete series are done. (I’m working on systems to make my reviews more prompt, but if you remind me that you want the review when issue #12 ships, I’ll make sure to get the review done within the week.)

  2. Comic help
Maybe someone can help me. It seems like you can’t get comics unless you pre-order them somewhere, but I have a hard time finding out when stuff is going to come out. I want to get the next Frank Miller Batman/Al Queda series and the new Buffy "Season 8" comics (which I heard a rumor is coming out around October) but I can’t seem to find solid news about them. Does anyone have any good comics news sites that would have that kind of info?

If you check out http://previews.diamondcomics.com you should find the order forms that tell you anything and everything that’s coming in three months time.
