Niki So… anyone got any ideas why Niki’s alternate didn’t do the ALL the cleanup for her?
It’s almost like her "dark" half is attempting to pull her in or something.
Also… kindof makes you wonder why there were already other bodies out there that appeared to have had quite a bit of decomposition time on them….

It did seem to me like those bodies looked uglier, yes.
I’m not sure if you mean, "why did the double not drive the bodies out and bury them" or the question I’ve seen others ask: "Why go out there, make a map and leave a shovel and not bury them"?
The second one is the easy one – that Mirror!Nikki has been burying bodies out there for a while. I wonder who they are? Her son’s father, perhaps?
The first one… I suspect that either we will find that the double has a time limit, or that the double actually does have some compassion or something and wasn’t going to make Jonah wait any longer. The other thing I want to know is why she was at the airport.
I find her story fairly compelling; I’m not a fan of horror in general, but I like the suspense WTF is going on kind of thing being done to her.

The "Bad Niki" is, I think, actually just herself time shifted somehow while her current self has a blackout or amnesia or something. If you watch carefully when she starts watching the video tape while driving to pick up her son, there is a discontinuity and her white tank top changes to a red top, and she is no longer in the middle of the street, but in a parking lot. And the phone call from her son seems to be completely on a different "time line" if you will–as if he hadn’t heard from her for four hours, when she had just talked to him a few minutes prior (while in the white tank top). So, my theory is this: The Niki in the white tank top starts watching the video, sees exactly what happens (whatever that is) and then immediately goes back (first picking up or buying the red convertible), cleans up the mess, and then after cleaning it up, is all bloody in her white tanktop, and then does the index finger to her lips, "Shhhhh" to her other, "earlier" self, to be quiet (which is what the "earlier" self sees in the mirror right after she wakes up in episode 1). Then she cleans up, puts on the red top, erases the video, and starts driving back to pick up her son. Admitedly, not all the pieces fit, but something interesting was happening right there…

You are correct, though, that Nikki’s shirt changes (white to orange), probably after blood had gotten on it, suggesting that Mirror!Nikki uses her body as well.
Super-hearing or telepathy? It was kinda vague whether it was just hearing, or whether he was catching people’s thoughts. I’m hoping for the telepathy. So far, we have a time/space traveller, flyer(s), psycho-goes-postaler, precoger, and indestructibler. That’s enough with the "ers," I think. Telepathy would go nicely into that bunch.

What about the two people that were killed in the room prior to finding the little girl. One was frozen with his head cut open and the other was pinned against the wall with knives stuck in them. Looks like someone else with powers is on the rampage.

The first time I saw that particular bit was on Saturday Night Live back in the 80s. A guy (Phil Hartman) brings his date (Jan Hooks) back to his apartment. Both of them have "naughty" intentions and the audience gets to hear what they’re really thinking after they something out loud. So, the guy’s roommate (Joe Montana) shows up and the same thing happens, but he’s so annoyingly nice that everything he says out loud matches what he’s really thinking. It was a hilarious bit, capped off with Joe Montana (legendary 49ers quarterback for those confusing him with Joe Mantegna ;]) saying, "I’m going to go to my room and masturbate" followed of course by him thinking the same thing. Beautiful. I haven’t seen the episode in years but it still pops into my head every time this device is used and I laugh like an idiot.

I don’t know, it could make for good storylines in the right hands. Groundhog Day, and that one SG-1 episode come to mind. Either way, I’m betting there will have to be a weakness or limit to that power. Like Tru (as in Calling), Hiro may not be the only one who retains his memories from before the rewind.

I’m hoping that was just a setup for the series. In addition to knowing New York will be nuked soon, as depicted in Issac’s painting, we know that it’s definitely five weeks after the first episode. Also its a better demonstration of the drawbacks of Hiro’s powers: He can teleport, but it will still take him some time. Though it’s still unclear if he had to teleport back to the moment he left Japan, or if perhaps that was just the clearest moment to go back to in his mind since he arrived in New York, which must have been a pretty sureal experience.
It also has me really curious whether the show will follow the calendar of the real world, as in will whatever happens November 8 on the show happen in an episode in early November, or will the whole season cover these five weeks of events?
