Basil Poledouris, composer of such iconic films as Conan the Barbarian and RoboCop, is dead at age 61 from cancer.

Sad news
The Conan the Barbarian soundtrack CD was the greatest soundtrack for a movie, ever. No music ever got you fired up for the day or got the blood pumping more than the sounds eminating from those speakers. Driving speeds climbed considerably once Battle of the Mounds kicked in. ;)
An awesome soundtrack from an awesome composer.
