  1. THREE comments!
Because I’m in a hurry, I combine three comments into one.

First: Anyone care to speculate why they’re showing the TOS movies in such a weird juggly order? They’ve got the rights to 1-5 inclusive, but they’re airing 2-3-5-2 (yes, they’re skipping 1 and 4, and airing “The Wrath of Khan” twice).

Second: All times are Eastern/Pacific. If you’re me, subtract an hour in your head for Central.

Third, and I’ve mentioned this before: Is anyone else scared of the prospect of (another) Trek/WWF crossover?

TNN has the rights to 2,3, and 5 only. I assume this is because TMP will be re-released on November 6th. ST4 is still the highest grossing for all the films so they may be doing something different with it. 6 through 9 are probably still too fresh to sell the exclusive rights away. I don’t mind them airing ‘The Wrath of Khan’ twice, but if they never show 5 again…fine with me!

Damn midwesterners. Nothing but bitch, bitch, bitch. :p

‘Shatner vs. Beltran: When Egos Collide!’ Be afraid. Be VERY VERY afraid.

I must disagree, at least in part, with this – both 1 and 4 have aired on TNN in the past month or so. (They’ve been airing one movie a week, in order, after WWF Raw on Monday nights.) Whether they do or don’t have the rights to air them as parts of a marathon, hey, I dunno.

As for your assessment of 5, I’m definitely with you on that.

I just finished watching the tape of WWF Raw – with the exception of the jabroni in the front row with the “Star Trek Is Lame” sign, nary a sign of Trek-ness.

Okay, I Never Though I’d See A StarTrek Fan Say “Jabroni”

            Heh.

I watch both Trek and WWF – their fan bases are not mutually exclusive. I
have yet to find a more efficient, more cost-effective way of completely
shutting my brain down for a limited time. (A sufficient quantity of beer
would easily exceed the monthly cable bill, and most of the other options
have the unpleasant side effect of rendering me clinically dead.)

And before someone accuses me of being off-topic: it’s my site, I
can talk about squirrel migration patterns and declare it to be on-topic.
            :-)

Bringing us back on topic, I suggest
              watching Independance Day and/or
Godzilla. Devlin and Emmerich peaked with
              Stargate. (Yeah, The Patriot
was alright, but I attribute that to it not being a script
              they wrote.)
