First, the genre releases:
- Barnyard
- Chronicles of Narnia: This is a four disk extended edition, as popularized by Lord of the Rings.
- Crisis Angel Mindfreak – Giftset
- E’s Otherwise: Complete Collection
- Eye For Terror: Five movies dirt cheap. Includes “Bonesetter Returns,” “Final Curtain,” “Hell Asylum (Special Edition),” “Satanic Yuppies” and “Shock Cinema Vols. 1 and 2.”
- The Fox and the Hound 2: When will people learn that some kiddie flicks don’t need sequels?
- Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu – Complete Collection
- James Bond Ultimate Edition Vol. 3: Includes “Goldeneye,” “Live and Let Die,” “For Your Eyes Only,” “From Russia With Love” and “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.”
- James Bond Ultimate Collection Vol. 4″: Incldues “Dr. No,” “You Only Live Twice,” “Moonraker,” “Octpussy” and “Tomorrow Never Dies.”
- Masters of Horror: Fair Haired Child
- Shinobi: Complete Collection
- Voltron – Defender of the Universe – Collection Two: That’s nifty packaging.
- The Year Without A Santa Claus
Now, the non-genre releases:
- Air Buddies: Will the sequels never end?
- The Andy Griffith Show – The Final Season: Season eight was the last of the bunch.
- Back In The Day With Dale Jr. – The Complete First Season
- Blue Collar Comedy Tour – One For The Road
- Bugsy: This is a new extended version.
- Dean Martin Double Feature: Includes “How To Save A Marriage (And Ruin Your Life)” and “Who Was That Lady?”
- The Devil Wears Prada: Something of a surprise hit this year. Also available on Blu-Ray.
- Dog The Bounty Hunter – The Wedding Special
- The Doors: Methinks Amazon.com should change the graphic that goes along with this Val Kilmer flick.
- Full House – The Complete Fifth Season
- George Reeves Double Feature: Includes “Thunder In The Pines” and “Jungle Goddess.” Both also starred Ralph Byrd. The packaging is obviously trying to cash in on the Superman overflow at this time of year.
- Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. – The Complete First Season: The Andy Griffith Show spinoff.
- House of Sand: When Sony Pictures chooses foreign films to distribute, they’re generally pretty good.
- Law and Order Criminal Intent – The Second Year
- Material Girls: Two Duffs in one movie. Is the world truly ready for that?
- Stacked – The Complete Series: And what a short series it was.
- Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby: Also available on Blu-ray.
- Will Rogers Collection 2: Includes “Too Busy To Work,” “Ambassador Bill,” “David Harum,” and “Mr. Skitch.”
- World Trade Centre: Also available on Blu-Ray and HD DVD.
Finally, the pick of the week. I’ve got to go with James Bond Ulimate Collection Vol. 4. There’s not a lot of great stuff out this week, and that set contains Tomorrow Never Dies, my personal favourite of the 10 or 12 Bond movies I’ve seen so far.
.
Once again, I would submit that The Fox and The Hound isn’t really genre…
The only thing I really want this week is the Vol2 of the James Bond collection, and that’s only cause I want "On Her Majesty’s Secret Service". From the price that thing goes for it might be worth buying the entire boxed set just to sell THAT one on Amazon Marketplace.
And the cover on The Doors is funny (:
Re: .
Well, Tim Burton was lead nimator on that project…
…just sayin’
P.S. Amazon musta done the change, or I don’t get it :-S
