That’ll teach me for believing a Fox affiliate. <a href="http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/local/article/0,1299,DRMN_15_5256178,00.html">According to NORAD</a>, the fireworks were pieces of Russian rocket re-entering the atmosphere.

Maybe that’s what the Russians were trying to help out with. Burn up some of those mountains of snow with fiery blast of rocket debris!

Their weatherman frightens me …
Even though I know most TV weathermen are nothing but talking heads, the majority of them at least know enough to fake some modicum of knowledge.
A meteor shower is "an exctinct constellation." Mind you he double checked his copy and read this on the air.

Weather-fool: "I don’t know."
I know at least two of the meteorologists in my area actually have some experience in the field. The rest of them take pains to hide their ignorance.
