Should be interesting
I can’t wait to see how two things are handled:
1) Nell’s age. It varies from what, 5 to 17ish? I guess that means at least 3 different actresses, perhaps one for each "part"? and/or a lot of makeup…
2) The Drummers. (Especially the ending!)

Since this will be on SCI-FI you can bet that there will be no nudity. That means that they will totally make a hash of the Drummers. If you read the book you know what I mean.

The closest one could hope for would be fully animated body suits. I fear that it will end up being a mash of bad CGI, or they’ll change the nature of The Drummers entirely. :/
Now if it were on HBO or Showtime, it’d be much more interesting.

Bad CGI? On SciFi?! What, wha whatya saying? heheh
Yeah this can go either way. I’m looking forward to it anyway. I really enjoyed the book, though I do feel that it has some flaws.
One thing that I think NS really needs is an editor that would trim the fat of his books. There are often lots of pages of stuff that a film editor would have dumped on the floor because it doesn’t really push the story along. Fortunately his writing is good enough to make up for it so I can overlook that.
