    Anyone else wonder how much they paid George Takei for the 5 seconds he was on without even talking?

    Anyone else thing that no matter how much it was, it was worth it? (;

      Seeing his name on the opening credits was almost enough for me.

      Though, hearing Christopher Eccleston say "Fantastic!" was more of a high point for me.

        I missed Eccleston saying fantastic!! I must watch again!!!
        I really miss him as the Doctor….

          It was great he delivered the line perfectly.

    • Takei & Eccleston!

      Christopher Eccleston + George Takei = Heroes FTW

      (I have to admit though, it took me a minute to realize who Eccleston was – that beard really threw me!)

        :)
        If I hadn’t read that he was going to be on there, I would never have figured him out (the first week, the voice prally would have driven me nuts the second week…. :)

          I had no clue the first short appearance (actively avoiding spoilers and don’t pay attention to credits until after I recognize someone), but in this episode I managed to get it together after about a minute. Like many, I’m still not happy he left Who (though I think David Tennant is excellent as well, he could have been just as excellent after two or three Eccleston years ;]), but it’s nice to see him here in the US on a big show.

          As for Takei, his appearance actually was spoiled for me some time ago, quite unavoidably since I listen to Howard Stern on Sirius where George is a frequent contributor. From what he’s said, they (the show’s producers) liked him quite a bit on the show and are planning to have him back after this current sequence of events. He’s an underrated actor who I think probably lost out on work thanks to Star Trek. Kirk and Sulu both in primetime in the 21st century – nice!

      By the time he appeared, I’d forgotten this was the episode he appeared, and love the twist it threw on things (I think it’s too bad he’s in the opening credits, as I think it’s going to spoil the twist when a friend watches it who is much more vigilant than I am). But next week we’ll really get to see him. I just hope his acting is better than it was in his Psych appearance…

        Well he was playing "himself" in that one, perhaps it was on purpose? :)

        Of course I have yet to see an actor portray themselves any better than Seth Green on Entourage – with the possible exception of Neil Patrick Harris in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle.

      I must say that if this series turns out to be as good as the last series that brought back an original Trek actor to be a bad guy, we’re going to be very lucky.

      It is brilliant casting.
