  1. Well that was interesting
The pace was a bit slow for my taste, but it’s an interesting movement of the plot. I really hope they clear up a few more details before cliff hangering it in a few weeks.

I’d really like to learn the ‘others’ agenda from an audience perspective if nothing else. It grows old to have these maniacal bad guys in the background that are all evil with no motivation. Gets old.

  2. What??
I just have to say what the ….?

All along they’ve said "Oh they’re not in purgatory, absolutely not, they’re not all dead." Then bam, this thing about finding the plane at the bottom of the ocean.

Were they just trying to push off all of the people who figured the show out way back when.

If thats the case, if the best they could do was go, "damn, they’ve got us now we better lie," I’ll be real dissapointed.

It had better be something else.

I was thinking the Others somehow managed to have a fuselage from a plane planted with bodies, or somehow controlled the truth about the plane. I think they tossed the "Hell" scenario in there to mess with us, I don’t think they really know what direction they want to go yet.

Are you forgetting that when Desmond turned the key, the listening post run by his girl friend picked up the signal?

Where ever they are, it IS possible to send a signal to the rest of the world. Now, you gotta turn the sky purple to do it…. But since that turns out to be possible, what the heck…

    • Who rigs every oscar night? We do, we dooooooo!

      They’re playing with you people.
What’s more likely, all those eating, bleeding, dying people are already dead, or the large conspiracy that airdrops them food and keeps atlantis off the maps can fake underwater footage?

Well, we already know that they have buried at least 2 people alive. It’d be interesting if all of the dead started digging their way out of the ground….

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. If the island can heal, can it bring back the dead? Maybe the healing process of the dead takes longer than usual. Is there anyone who had died that was left unburied? It seems plausible within the realm of the show that anyone who’s died and been buried is still alive.

Sure they are, but it is a little distracting after they’ve spent the better part of 2 years denying this. It annoying to see even if it is a red herring.

It seems well within their power to fake it all, especially if they had hand-picked the people and set in motion all of the "coincidences" leading up to them getting onto the airliner. I wouldn’t be surprised if the fake 815 was already in the water before the real one ever took off.

It simply lends more credence to the theory that they are not there by chance, and someone is pulling the strings.

Sawyer Sr. overlooked the obvious kidnapping and thought he was in hell. I guess he didn’t think anyone could pull a con on him.

I don’t think they handpicked the people and set all the events in motion to get them on the island. If you remember a few episodes ago they showed the events that happened the day of the crash, one of the duties was to obtain all information possible on all the passengers. I think then from that information they planned everything out.

That was the "others" who had to gather that intel. I was implying that Dharma or Hanso were pulling the strings. Perhaps in a bid to get their island back.

It must be quite a POWERFUL conspiracy in order to pull
off the underwater plane thing! One thing is to simulate, say, a car crash. Planes aren’t as plentiful and a quick purchase of one would be definitely noticed.

As for me, I stuck with Lost all this time, but now I’m getting fed up:

        – The Others are just too damn powerful: they’ve won every
single skirmish (although they might have had some
losses, like that chick that Sun shot) against the 815ers.

        – The Others have too large an organization and power that seems to be god-like (they have detailed files on everyone, they can find con-men, they know the crime Sawyer commited while seemingly nobody else does, et cetera). Yet… they want the 815ers off the island, can fake their deaths, but couldn’t come up with a "cargo ship" that "ran into" them, allowing for a "speedy rescue"?

        – The island now seems to have magical healing abilities. Why oh why didn’t have it before? Let’s all remember Locke’s wound in his forehead+cheek that healed slowly thru several episodes, as regular wound do… yet now, the bite wound healed immediately. Yes, Locke’s spine healed immediately, but should this apply to everything?
