Weekly Comics Discussion – June 13, 2007

The complete list is here as usual.

Dark Horse Comics

  • STAR WARS LEGACY #13
  • STAR WARS REBELLION #7

DC Comics

  • BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL
  • COUNTDOWN 46
  • FABLES #62
  • GREEN ARROW #75 – If memory serves, this is the final issue.
  • GREEN LANTERN CORPS #13
  • JUSTICE #12 (OF 12)
  • SHOWCASE PRESENTS THE ATOM VOL 1
  • SUPERMAN BATMAN #36

Marvel Comics

  • AVENGERS CLASSIC #1 – Much like the old “Classic X-Men” format, this reprints an old issue (in this case, the original Avengers #1 from 1964) and includes new backup stories.
  • CABLE DEADPOOL #41 – Have I mentioned how much I love this title?
  • ESSENTIAL MARVEL TWO IN ONE VOL 2 TP
  • EXILES #95
  • FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #21
  • HULK PLANET HULK HC – This one’s a good one, though you’ll need to decide for yourself if you want the hardcover or the (currently unsolicited) trade paperbacks. Keep in mind, that $39.99 US price tag is for 14 issues.
  • NEW AVENGERS #31 – The press from Marvel promises that the final page in this one will change everything for years to come, or at least set up next summer’s big event.
  • NOVA #3 – I’m really enjoying this series. The second issue ended with the Thunderbolts on Rich Rider’s doorstep. I’ve got to see his reaction to Penance, the character formerly known as Speedball.
  • SUB-MARINER #1 (OF 6) – This, somehow, is an Initiative tie-in.
  • WORLD WAR HULK #1 (OF 5) – This promises to be a huge seller this week. I’ll get it reviewed before the weekend is out, as part of the ongoing “World War Hulk” coverage.

Other

  • Strangers in Paradise #90 (Final issue. Three variant covers)
