  • BATMAN LOBO DEADLY SERIOUS #2 (OF 2)
  • BIRDS OF PREY #110
  • CATWOMAN #71

  • COUNTDOWN TO MYSTERY #1 (OF 8)
  • FLASH #232
  • GREEN ARROW BLACK CANARY FOR BETTER OR WORSE TP
  • GREEN ARROW BLACK CANARY WEDDING SPECIAL #1
  • JLA HITMAN #1 (OF 2) –To be reviewed when the series ends.
  • SUPERMAN BATMAN #40
  • TALES OF THE SINESTRO CORPS PARALLAX #1

Image Comics

  • SPAWN #171

Marvel Comics

  • ANNIHILATION CONQUEST QUASAR #3 (OF 4)
  • CAPTAIN AMERICA #30 – Part of the Initiative, and still going strong with a dead title character.
  • CAPTAIN AMERICA BY ED BRUBAKER OMNIBUS VOL 1 HC – Covers the first 25 issues of Brubaker’s run, starting with the return of the Red Skull, the introduction of the Winter Soldier, running through the Civil War, and culminating in the death of Captain America issue. If you’ve got the $74.99 US, it’s a nice hardcover, but you can get all of those issues (and every other Captain America issue from Tales of Suspense #59 on) with this DVD-ROM for a significantly lower price. (Have I raved about the GIT Corp DVD-ROMs lately?)
  • IRREDEEMABLE ANT-MAN #12 – The final issue of the series.
  • MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #1 – Return of this anthology format.
  • NEW X-MEN #42
  • PENANCE RELENTLESS #1 (OF 5) – I’m definitely on board for this. I’ve been a Robbie Baldwin fan since I picked up Speedball #1 back in junior high. (Thankfully, I was young when I read that. It’s almost unreadable today.)
  • SPIDER-MAN RED SONJA #2 (OF 5)
  • THUNDERBOLTS BY ELLIS VOL 1 FAITH IN MONSTERS PREM HC – I haven’t reviewed this first arc in Ellis’ run, but that’s entirely due to time constraints due to a hectic work schedule. This is great stuff, particularly if you like comics with a twisted bent to them. Highly recommended.
  • WOLVERINE ORIGINS #17
  • WORLD WAR HULK #4 (OF 5) – To be reviewed later today.
  • WORLD WAR HULK FRONT LINE #4 (OF 6) – To be reviewed when the series wraps.
  • WORLD WAR HULK GAMMA CORPS #3 (OF 4) – To be reviewed when the series wraps.

  1. Batman, you Raskol
My final review of Countdown will appear later this week. It’s just not worth reading further.

On another note, for those of you who say comics cannot be literary….
